Looking for dog parks in Pensacola? You have more choices than most people realize: fenced city parks with separate small dog areas, a city dog beach at Bayview Park, and two dog beach parks out on Pensacola Beach. Across the bridge, Gulf Breeze has its own off leash park, and Navarre has one too.
Below is what the official city and county pages say about each, as posted in October 2026. Hours, closures and rules change, so check the linked page before you load up the car.
City of Pensacola dog parks
The City of Pensacola lists dog facilities at three parks.
| Park | Address | What the city lists |
|---|---|---|
| Bayview Park | 2001 East Lloyd Street | A dog park and the Bayview Dog Beach |
| Kiwanis Park | 1801 W. Romana St. | Separate small and large dog sections with agility courses, shade structures and benches |
| Roger Scott Athletic Complex | 2130 Summit Blvd | A dog park |
City parks regulations say all pets must be on a leash unless they are within a designated dog park facility, and that pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. The city says its parks are open sunrise to sunset unless otherwise posted, and some parks list longer hours, so look at the facility page for the park you plan to visit.
Bayview stands out because it has both a dog park and a dog beach. Kiwanis is a good pick if you have a small dog who would rather not share space with a big one, since the city built separate sections for each.
Pensacola Beach dog parks
On Pensacola Beach, dogs are allowed only at the two designated dog beach parks, according to both Escambia County and the Santa Rosa Island Authority. One is on the west end, at the first parking lot past the last Gulf side condominiums (beach walkover 21E). The other is on the east end, at the first parking lot past Portofino Island Resort (beach walkover 28B).
The county lists the hours as 7 a.m. to sunset from May 1 to Oct. 31 and sunrise to sunset from Nov. 1 to April 30. Pets must be leashed, each dog needs proper tags, and owners must clean up. The county says violations are cited by Escambia County Animal Control. For the full beach picture, including Navarre and the National Seashore, read our guide to dog friendly beaches near Pensacola.
Gulf Breeze and Navarre
The City of Gulf Breeze runs Shoreline South Bark Park inside Shoreline Park South at 800 Shoreline Drive, open sunrise to sunset. The posted rules include:
- Dogs must be vaccinated and wear a visible Gulf Breeze dog license.
- Dogs stay leashed when entering and leaving the off leash area.
- Children 8 and under are not allowed in the off leash area.
- Handlers must scoop the poop and fill any holes their dogs dig.
In Navarre, the official Santa Rosa County tourism site points dog owners to the Navarre Central Bark Dog Park and the Shoreline Park Dog Park, and reminds visitors that dogs are not allowed on Navarre Beach or the pier. We could not load the county parks page to confirm hours, so check with Santa Rosa County Parks before you go.
Dog park etiquette that keeps parks open
Every one of these parks has a cleanup rule, and for good reason. CDC guidance on dog hookworms says to dispose of animal waste quickly, because the larvae live in soil and sand contaminated by feces. A park where people skip pickups becomes a park nobody wants to sit in.
- Bring two bags more than you think you need, even if the park has a dispenser.
- Watch your dog, not your phone. You cannot pick up what you did not see.
- Pick up even when it is not yours if you can. Regulars notice.
- Fill holes, as Gulf Breeze asks. They are ankle traps.
- Bring water. Summer afternoons are long, and shade fills up fast.
- Keep tags current. The beach parks require them, and they matter if your dog slips out.
Bring the same habit home
Most dogs do the bulk of their business at home, not at the park. If the backyard has turned into the place nobody wants to walk, a regular scoop fixes it. Our weekly, every other week and twice a week plans include scooping every pile, double bagging, disinfecting our tools before we enter, and latching the gate with a photo when we leave. If the yard needs a reset first, our one time cleanup starts at $89.
Curious why a weekly rhythm matters in Florida heat? See how often to pick up dog poop in your yard.
Text SCOOP to (850) 273-8546 with your address and number of dogs, or sign up online. Weekly service starts at $79 a month for one dog.
